About me

Still figuring it out, just like you.

Hey guys! I’m Nicole, a 28 year old event planner from Boston who has absolutely no idea what she is doing when it comes to blogging, but is trying it anyway! Writing has always been my passion and my therapy, so if no one ends up reading this blog besides my very supportive family (Hi, mom!), I will at least have a place to record my thoughts and something to tell my dentist when she asks me again if I have any hobbies besides drinking cheap wine and watching true crime tv.

While I definitely only consider myself a closet writer right now, it is where I originally thought my life would take me. Instead, I followed where the money would take me in an effort to support my “always doing something” lifestyle. Lately, however, I have found myself coming back to my roots more often than ever.

Traditionally, I only write about what I know or feel, and most of it is very personal to me or my own experiences. Journaling is great for self-reflecting, and as anyone edging toward their thirties will tell you, reflection and reminiscing, specifically on your early twenties, happens quite frequently and seldom involuntarily. The more I work on my own self awareness, the stronger my desire becomes to start sharing some of my experiences with people entering their twenties—those just starting to navigate the adult world who may need to hear what I have to say…and might not even know it yet. At the end of the day, the goal of this blog is to let you know you aren’t alone, and whatever you are feeling, chances are others are feeling it too.
